At its last meeting, the Board of Directors voted to add a new category of membership, Honorary Member.  The Honorary Member is a Rotarian who has distinguished their self with service to the club and can no longer participate in the day to day activities of the club for some reason.  Our club does not want to loose these great Rotarians, so they stay connected to our club.  They do not have to attend meeting or pay dues, they just show up when they can and participate when they can.

The Board discussed possible candidates and determined that two people fit the criteria and should be named Honorary Members.  The first is Past President Jun Lee whose health has not allowed him to be as active in the club as he was in the past and Tom McLaren who has moved out of the area and his health is also preventing him from joining another Rotary Club.

Please congratulate our first two Honorary Members of the Scotts Valley Rotary Club!  We are proud to have them continue to be part of our club.

(Did I mention this is a lifetime appointment)
