After graduating from the Monterey College of Law, she became a Deputy District Attorney for Monterey County for 12 years until 2006.

In 2009, she was the Presiding Judge of the Juvenile Division in Santa Cruz County.

Over the last several years, she’s been the Chair of the Santa Cruz County Children’s Network and a Team Member of the FosterEd Project with the National Youth Law Center which is a 4-state project.

She’s presently on the Juvenile Curriculum Committee and the New Judges Orientation Faculty of the Center for Judicial Education.

There’s a number of different projects and programs that our local Judicial Officers are involved with – among them are the Keeping Kids in School Project and FosterEd which meets the needs of children in the foster care system. Other projects include Family Preservation Court, Teen Peer Court, Project Homeless Connect, and the Small Claims Court Mediation Services.
