This month the Scotts Valley vocational visit was to Zero Motorcycles. They are the next step in motorcycle evolution. By combining the best aspects of a traditional motorcycle with today’s most advanced technology, Zero produces high performance electric motorcycles that are lightweight, efficient, fast off the line and fun to ride.

 

We got to hear Mayor Dene Bustichi update us on the latest information about what is happening with Scotts Valley, specifically, State of the City, Finance, Water, Business Development, and the Town Center. 

 

Fellow Scotts Valley Rotarian, Mark Stone (California State Assembly) gave us an update on the latest happenings in the California State Assembly. He provided us with a legislative update, spoke about the past year in Sacramento, and then opened it up for any questions.

 

On November 30th, we look forward to the 'Last Plastic Straw' (Jackie Nunez). They strive to educate the public about the absurdity of single use plastic, its effects on our health, our environment, and our oceans. They aim to eliminate from the source, the use of single use plastic.
