Thanks to Universal Audio, Antares and Scotts Valley Rotary our school has a new recording studio! Grant Simmons and Zane Wurtz will be student interns helping to maintain and manage the studio with music teacher Beth Hollenbeck. Students in music classes will have an opportunity throughout the school year to record and compose music using Appleās Logic Pro recording program.

Saturday, March 26, Jill Hitchman and Georgie Hildebrand worked with technicians from Antares Audio Technologies and Universal Audio to install a state of the art music studio at Scotts Valley High School. This is part of a project that will allow students to begin learning about music recording in Middle School and continue their training in High School Foothill Community College and Cabrillo College are involved with the program to ensure that the training continues in college. Beth Hollenbech, the Scotts Valley Scool District Music Instructor, is heading up the project.
